Buckfast. A cultural icon.

This from the label:
"The name 'tonic wine' does not imply health giving or medicinal properties".

It was particularly useful as a lesson in reprocessing sketchbook slurry into something that resembles the work of a grown-up. For those that find slurry difficult to recognise as illustration without a bit of polish.

The method: began with a magazine page bound into sketchbook, which was painted over, drawn over, painted again, photocopied, scanned, some really dirty photoshopping applied to split up the colours and keep it looking shouty, and the three points of the Buckfast Triangle added. To top it all off there's Jesus looking particularly forgiving at the last supper, from Buckfast Abbey's stained glass window.
