Speakings: House of Illustration

The Plume of Feathers project got a mention at the UAL/House of Illustration Markings Symposium on illustration and performance, which I was delighted to have been asked to take part in recently as part of an excellent line up of speakers. The full abstract can be found on the symposium site, and focused on documenting performance in a way that serves the project's aims and argument, which continued my earlier papers' exploration of "meme vehicles" for artistic research. That and my ongoing tussle with the balance of ambiguity and clarity of message.

Our panel was drawn by Gareth Brookes, whose book 'The Black Project' I subsequently bought and devoured in one go. It's tremendous.
